Last year (around May-ish), I learned about company called Wildtree and loved the concept so much that I joined up and started offering Wildtree freezer meals and freezer meal workshops. Well, it wasn’t too long after that when David and I discovered we were pregnant and then shortly after that heard the shocking news that we were having twins, AGAIN (I still cannot believe it). Since me + pregnancy = no bueno and I entered survival mode for the better part of a year, a lot of things took a back seat, including sharing my OBSESSION with Wildtree freezer meals and their amazing, non-GMO, no preservatives, organic and freaking amazing herbs, spices, blends and oils that make all my food taste a zillion times better.
Well, over the past year, even though I haven’t been actively sharing Wildtree, we’ve been using the spices, blends, and oils consistently. Even my chef-husband, who is about as picky as they come loves them and always lets me know when we are out of something.
Now that the pregnancy & NICU fog have lifted and my web design biz is kicking ass again, I decided there was no better time like the present to pick up where I left off with Wildtree.
And this time, we’re adding a twist.
Not only will I be offering super fun freezer meal workshops where us girls get together and drink mucho wine and build 10 healthy simple affordable meals the whole family will love, but David and I will also be offering a Done For You Freezer Meal service using Wildtree products and recipes. We are still working out the details on the offerings and price point, but likely it will cost about $25 per meal (each meal will serve 4-6).
Why I decided to start offering Wildtree Freezer Meals
I’ve never been one to pay much attention to anything regarding my food. But 2 months ago, I started my quest to drop 47 pounds. So far I’ve lost 19 pounds and I owe a chunk of that weight loss to WildTree. The weight loss is happening the old fashioned way: watching what I eat. I’ve tried to incorporate exercise in, but so far that is hit or miss. It’s tough when you have 5 kids, plus a household and a business (or 3) to run. Wildtree freezer meals make it so much easier to plan meals when I DON’T HAVE TO THINK ABOUT WHAT IS FOR DINNER!
Wildtree herbs, spices, oils and blends aren’t just for Wildtree freezer meals. We use them almost on a daily basis and I’ll share more of those recipes as I go along.
Another reason we are doing this is to continue on our quest to becoming debt free. We’ve accumulated quite a bit of medical debt over the past 8 years and I am sick and tired of it hanging over our heads. I’m doing everything I can do professionally to generate more revenue in my web design/branding business. And David, well, with his hours at the restaurant, it is difficult for him to pick up any sort of part-time work. BUT, the man can cut and prep meats/veggies lightning fast, plus he knows how to handle food safely and properly, so this done-for-you-service really was a no-brainer for us. Now it’s just up to me to set it all up 🙂
Hope you’ll enjoy this journey with us.
